Fragrance Fair began in 2004 with onsite designer fragrance events hosted at large multi-tenant office buildings and companies in the Chicago area. Employees literally can shop for designer fragrances at their place of work, get a significant discount off retail prices, and know that a portion of their purchase price is donated to charity.

Our Story
Corporate mergers and layoffs paved the way for Fragrance Fair to open in October 2004. Ellen Taylor formerly worked as the Marketing Manager for a computer company for 16 years and Annelies Westley formerly worked retail mangement selling men’s fragrances. Annelies had previously coordinated offsite events in building lobbies. She recognized the positive response from building managers and brought the idea to Ellen to form a company bringing great fragrance deals to employees where they work.
They said, “If we can schedule 25 events before Christmas 2004, we’ll do it!” In just two weeks, they scheduled 16 events and Fragrance Fair was created.
Their approach is unusual because everyone benefits. Customers save lots of money on designer fragrances, companies host designer fragrance events for free, and a charity receives a donation from Fragrance Fair after every event. In their first six months, Fragrance Fair donated over $3,000 to several charities, and the charitable donations just keep on growing.
Fragrance Fair focuses its onsite designer fragrance events in the Chicago area, but its website provides nationwide customer coverage.
